Red Hand Paddle Co. uses only premium grade lumber, selected for beauty. Quality product begins with fine materials. 

The Silhouettes

Every Red Hand Paddle is crafted to exact specifications. We strive to keep tolerances within 1/16" for the length and width and 1/32" for the thickness of our paddles. This ensures that the dimensions remain consistent across hardwood types.

Finer Details

It was important to us that we create a handle that is comfortable in every silhouette, for any sized hand. Once we perfected the shape, we ensured that the width, handle taper and radius of the curve into the paddle face remained similar across styles.

Our spanking paddles are softly routed, rounding out harsh and potentially painful edges. Each paddle is hand-sanded in multiple stages, finishing with a final wet sanding for the smoothest possible touch.

Finishing Touches

We complete our paddles with a hand-rubbed oil finish, which lends a warm glow to the wood and allows for the natural characteristics to be seen and felt - as opposed to polyurethane, which is essentially a plastic coating.

Care For Your Red Hand Paddle

Paddles can be dusted with a lint-free cloth and cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Do not soak or saturate. In the unlikely event that you scratch, ding, or scrape your paddle, the damage can be repaired with a light sanding with high-grit sandpaper and the reapplication of rub on finish of your choice; Danish and Teak oils are readily available at your local hardware store.
